Umpqua Valley Migratory Bird Day and Swiftwatch

The annual Umpqua Valley Migratory Bird Day event will also be held at the Umpqua Valley Audubon's Swift Watch to celebrate Spring Migration in recognition of World Migratory Bird Day (officially May 14)!  Light Pollution is the focus of the World Migratory Bird Day 2022 Campaign. Prior to the Vaux’s Swift entering their night roost, there will be activities and displays designed to bring awareness to bird conservation, including a live bird and prehistoric bird displays, and information about the World Migratory Bird Day Campaign – Light Pollution. Each Friday night will be a different bird-related activity for kids. Please join us to celebrate the Spring Migration of birds and observe Vaux's Swifts between 6:30 and sunset on April 22, April 29, May 6, and May 13!
