About this Event

The Nature Conservancy and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are hosting a free, family-friendly celebration of World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 14, at the Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve in Moab. In addition to a guided birding tour, Migratory Bird Day activities will include fun and engaging stations placed throughout the preserve where you can learn more about Utah's birds, other wildlife and native fish.

Details

  • All events are free!
  • The birding tour will begin at 8 a.m.
  • All other activities will start at 9 a.m. and end at noon.
  • You can come and go whenever you want — enjoy walking through the nature preserve!
  • This is a family-friendly event and educational for all ages.

What to expect

  • Dogs (and other pets) and bikes are not permitted on the preserve.
  • All events will begin at the Kane Creek entrance to the preserve, 934 W. Kane Creek Blvd., in Moab.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Please remember to bring water for drinking.
