Timucuan NP World Migratory Bird Day

 Timucuan Preserve is Jacksonville's national park! It provides thousands of acres of stopover habitat for birds as they migrate through the area. During spring migration, birds from around the world make Timucuan Preserve their temporary homes. To celebrate, Timucuan Preserve will host World Migratory Bird Day on April 22, 2023, with special arts and crafts, hikes, spotting scope chats, and the Great Migration Obstacle Course to help the community connect with the preserve and the birds that live here. Tag along with the Duval Audubon Society free bird hikes being offered at Fort Caroline National Memorial during the event. These hikes are great for beginners and experienced birders alike. Hikes will be approximately 1 hour long. Limited addition Word Migratory Bird Day stickers available for pick up at Fort Caroline National Memorial supplies last.All activities are free and open to the public. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for all hikes. Closed-toed shoes required. Water and bug spray highly recommended.
