Help protect critical migratory shorebird habitat at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge by joining us for a beach clean-up! We will be meeting at the Visitor Center at 9am, and will be shuttling people to the clean-up location since Bayside Loop road is currently under construction. Shuttles will leave the visitor center at 9:10am! so please plan to arrive before then. We will be shuttling people back to the visitor center at 11am and 11:45am. All supplies (bags, plastic gloves, grabbers) will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves and grabbers if you have them. Bring water, snacks, and plenty of sun protection.
Afterwards, swing by the visitor center to check out free activities and crafts celebrating World Migratory Bird Day! Activities will include DIY t-shirt bags (bring your own old t-shirts or use one of ours!), upcycled bird feeders, and more!
