En la ciudad de san José del Guaviare (Colombia) ubicada con coordenadas Geográficas 2°34′15″N 72°38′25″O, el día ocho de abril del presente año se realizaron actividades correspondiente al Día mundial de las aves migratorias. Diferentes instituciones académicas, corporaciones ambientales y gubernamentales presentes en la ciudad realizaron charlas sobre Aves migratorias y efectos de la deforestación en el Amazonas, relaciono a continuación los temas tratados:
- Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias;
- Uso de la tierras en el Departamento del Guaviare;
- Aves migratorias y rutas;
- Identificación de Aves;
- Monitoreo de Aves.
Se realizo una caminata por el humedal de la ciudad realizando observación de aves y posteriormente un concurso de dibujo relacionado con las aves que observaron, el ganador fue un estudiante de 12 años de edad perteneciente a una de las instituciones académicas de la ciudad, se le obsequiaron un par de Binoculares.
Es de anotar que a estas actividades asistieron 63 personas (Niños y Jóvenes) procedentes de grupos ecológicos de los diferentes colegios del municipio de San José del Guaviare.

In the city of San José del Guaviare (Colombia), whose geographical coordinates are 2°34'15"N and 72°38'25" W, activities related with the World Migratory Bird Day were undertaken on April 8 this year. Several academic institutions, environmental and governmental corporations in the city held lectures on migratory birds and deforestation effects in the Amazon. I list the topics addressed below:
- World Migratory Bird Day;
- Land use in the department of Guaviare;
- Migratory birds and flyways;
- Bird identification;
- Bird Monitoring.
We did a walk through the wetland of the city, while undertaking bird watching and afterwards we conducted a drawing contest related to the birds they had observed. The winner was a 12 years student from one of the city academic institutions, who won a pair of binoculars.
It should be noted that these activities were attended by 63 people (children and youth) from different ecological groups from several schools in the municipality of San José del Guaviare.
