Educational Activity

In the framework of the LIFE Nature Project "Conservation and Management of the Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni*) at three Greek SPA sites" outdoor environmental education activities focusing on the migration of the Lesser Kestrel will take place in Stefanovikeio, as well as a presentation concerning the species, its migration and the projects' actions for its conservation implemented in the region of Thessaly, Greece.

I have already a power point presentation of various kinds of bird activities. So I will show that to my school staff & students, if possible in science city Ahmadabad, & in a national conference about 21st century at SURAT.

The 6th Regional Directorate of The Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs is organizing the WMBD event with the participation of Yunus Emre Primary School students, teachers and Burdur Birdwatching Society members. The birdwatching activity will start from Kumluca Marshes and continue around Lake Burdur. The participants will be informed about migratory birds and the importance of their habitats while observing the migratory bird species of the site.

KuzeyDoga Society is celebrating the WMBD at Aras Bird Research and Education Center for a couple of days to share the importance of the site, the campaign, the scientific (bird banding etc) and conservation work being conducted at the site. Afterwards the participants will see the bird banding procedure and do birding around the wetland. The event participants include biology department students of Kafkas University,local communities, GO representatives in the region, school kids and KuzeyDoga volunteers.
