Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival

Alaska’s largest wildlife viewing festival honors the return of spring and it’s breathtaking bird migration and hopes that you will join!. Homer’s seaside setting is perfect for spotting over 130 migratory bird species, as well as numerous other resident species.

Our 2018 Festival will host Keynote Speakers Noah Strycker, as well as Featured Presenters Raymond VanBuskirk and Iain Campbell. Our distinguished guests will present a variety of workshops and lectures, including presentations on Strycker’s new books, Birding Without Borders.  Campbell will offer daily photography workshops as well.  This year’s featured artist is Homer’s own Erin Rae D’Eimon

We hope you will join us for this Annual Celebration of Spring and Migratory Bird Day Festival.  Please let us know how we can help you plan your trip.

It takes a community to successfully sponsor 26 years of conservation education. The Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival could not happen without the dedication of countless volunteers, sponsors, and enthusiastic attendees. Thank You and Happy Birding!

Happy Birding!
