El Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias se va a celebrar en Salinas Ecuador el domingo 04 de octubre de 2020. Los organizadores somos el Programa de Conservación de Aves Playeras de Ecuador de la Fundación Aves y Conservación. Tenemos planificado una mañana lúdica de títeres, música y arte. Mientras que por la tarde realizaremos un ciclo de charlas sobre humedales críticos para aves migratorias en Ecuador. El evento es ONLINE y semi presencial con las medidas correspondientes por Covid 19.

Protection of migratory birds habitat at Tengkuyung Beach, Sungai Nibung Village, Kubu Raya Regency Event

1. Stadium Generale is a seminar venue with 50 participants. Present as speakers were the Minister of Environment and Forestry, the Governor of West Kalimantan, the Regent of Kubu Raya, Stake Holders, academics, non-governmental organizations.
2. Regular events consist of Opening Ceremony, Seminar, Welcoming Party, Outbound, Birdwatching, Fieldtrip, Closing Ceremony.
3. Social Action is the activity of planting trees, cleaning the village, campaigning for wildlife conservation.

Awareness raising through online discussion, digital art competition and developing promotional material for bird conservation

Date: 10th October 2020  

Location: Dhaka

Organiser: Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in collaboration with SAUSC, BBCF and local Forest Division and Muktir Bondhon Foundation (NGO).

Target participants: Students from universities, colleges and school children, community people, civil society representatives, NGO representatives, birds hunters, Forest Department officials etc.

Octubre de Aves en Facebook con SIRUKI

Con motivo del Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias, en alianza con colegas de Environment for the Americas, Celebrate Urban Birds, Veracruz Río de Rapaces, Festival Alas Metropolitanas y PAU Guadalajara, en distintas fechas del mes de octubre daremos algunos talleres para niños y charlas gratuitas ONLINE para valorar a las aves, su gran esfuerzo de migración y conocer algunas de las especies que llegan a la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán en México. ¡Los esperamos!

Another social activity for considering social distancing in coronavirus time and because of the focus on tools that show us birds’ flyways in this year, the Avayeboom Society has made a video clip about what bird ringing is, how it works and showed its bird ringing activities to make people aware of the importance of bird banding.

World Migration Bird Day

World Migration Bird Day is celebrated globally on 9 May every year. The aim of this day is to raise awareness of migratory birds, their ecological importance, and ways to conserve these birds. Every year people take action regarding the migratory birds; they organize events like bird festival, awareness programme or bird watching and many more. The theme of World Migratory Bird Day is “Birds Connect Our World”.

Wings Over Willapa

Wings Over Willapa is a festival connecting people with birds, art, and nature in celebration of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge held on September 23-26, 2021. This annual celebration includes at least 35 tours, hikes, walks, classes, and presentations. On Friday September 24, the Festival hosts a silent auction and dinner with keynote speaker Rosemary Mosco, a science writer and naturalist who creates Bird and Moon Comics and describes her focus as connecting people with nature.
