Discovering the Botanical Garden: the trees and their inhabitants - Alla scoperta dell'Orto Botanico: gli alberi e i loro abitanti

A morning dedicated to urban biodiversity within the Botanical Garden of Naples.

Accompanied by an expert, we will discover the importance of the Garden and its trees for the birdlife, a nesting site for many species but also a stopping point for migratory birds. A real green oasis between asphalt and city buildings!

DIA MUNDIAL DE LAS AVES MIGRATORIAS

El Centro Bahía Lomas de la Universidad Santo Tomás celebrará en la ciudad de Punta Arenas el Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias. Estaremos en el Mall Espacio Urbano desde las 16:00 h  hasta las 20:00 h. Habrá stands educativos con actividades, información y material relativo a las aves. Participan también de esta actividad la Agrupación Ecológica Patagónica, y la Red Hemisférica de Reservas de Aves Playeras (RHRAP). No se lo pueden perder habrán sorpresas, regalos y actividades muy entretenidas para niños y niñas. 

Migratory Bird Celebration at the Juneau Community Gardens

Public will be invited to celebrate the return of migratory birds. Activities will focus on kids and include songbird-banding demonstration and handouts of posters and conservation materials. Sponsored by the US Forest Service Juneau Ranger District with support from the Juneau Community Garden Club and Juneau Audubon Society.

DIA MUNDIAL DE LAS AVES MIGRATORIAS

El Centro Bahía Lomas de la Universidad Santo Tomás celebrará en la ciudad de Santiago el Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias. Estaremos en el hall central de la Universidad desde las 9:00 h  hasta las 19:00 h. Habrá stands educativos con actividades, información y material relativo a las aves. Además, ese día habrá unas alas para que las personas se tomen fotografías y las suban a Twitter, a la campaña #todossomosavesplayeras de la Fundación Inalafquen de Argentina.

Bird ringing and Birdwatching in Asinara National Park - Sardinia (Italy)

During our project of bird ringing to study the spring migration of birds (2018 is the 21st year of activity of our ringing station), we will also complete a detailed list of all the sightings of birds during the weekend and we will greet all the visitors of the National Park, explaining them the migration routes and the ecology of birds, and raising awareness about conservation.

Bird watching in Park (Fateh-Karaj-Iran) for every one

This will be the second bird-watching activity in the public park called Fatah Garden located in city of Karaj in Iran . The program is in partnership with the Iranian Birdwatching Club. The event is open for everyone. Its purpose is to attract people's attention and raise awareness about birds and the migration of birds.
The program manager will be Ramin Mohammadi.

World Migratory Bird Day at Myrick Park

Migratory Bird Day & Earth Day with Umpqua Valley Audubon Society

Umpqua Valley Audubon Society will have a booth again this year as a part of the Migratory Bird Day celebration which has become a regular part of the Earth Day festivities at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Our main activity will be one for children – making a simple bird feeder using a pine cone into which they will pack suet and then roll into bird seed.  This gooey cone will be placed in a plastic bag so the kids can take it home and hang it by the wire attached to the cone and watch the birds that come to feed.

Fourth Annual WMBD Event in Terengganu, Malaysia

For the fourth year in a row, the University Malaysia Terengganu, University Sultan Zain Alabidin and the Malaysian Nature Society Terengganu Branch are joining efforts again to celebrate the WMBD2018, and raise awareness on bird migration and conservation.
