From bird nerd to bird curious, from wise old owl to adventurous tot, there is an event for everyone during Vancouver Bird Week: May 11-17, 2019. Bird Week is a week-long series of events to celebrate Vancouver’s birds. It was inspired by World Migratory Bird Day, a United Nations-sponsored initiative that recognizes the importance of birds as key indicators of our environment’s health. During Bird Week, there will be bird-related workshops, walks, talks, exhibitions, and lectures across Lower Mainland. Most events are free. 

Sunday, May 19, 2019: World Migratory Bird Day and Native Plant Sale, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bring your binoculars and join Observatory experts on bird hikes through Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, enjoy a live raptor show, and shop for native plants that benefit birds, Monarchs, and other pollinators.
 

Annual migration celebration in northwest Minnesota where tallgrass prairie, hardwood and conifer forests uniquely merge with wetlands. Morning guided fieldtrips, socials, exhibitors. Evening presentations by Carrol Henderson on his role in the recovery of the Peregrine Falcon, humorist/writer Al Batt, and Lyanda Haupt on her recent book Mozart's Starling. The Environmental Action Committee of West Marin (EAC) is proud to partner with Amigos Alados to bring FREE youth and family programming to the annual Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival. Children 3 to 18 accompanied by their families are invited. The festivities will take place on the lawn at 65 Third Street, Point Reyes Station, California, from 10:00 to 2:00.

The Big Bear Discovery Center celebrates Migratory Bird Day with bird talks, bird walks, kid's activities, and displays.

Es un festival familiar donde realizaremos talleres de educación ambiental, jornadas de avistamiento, instalaremos un jardín para polinizadores y presentaremos una exposición colectiva fotógrafica sobre aves de la Ciudad.

La Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, a través de la Secretaría de Gestión Escolar y la Secretaria Extensión y Difusión, mediante la Dirección de Participación Estudiantil y la Dirección de Difusión Cultural, invitan a los estudiantes universitarios a participar en el ¨Primer Festival Universitario de las Aves“, a realizarse durante los días 27 y 28 del mes de octubre, con motivo de la conmemoración del “Día mundial de las Aves Migratorias“ y como parte de las acciones que se generan por la celebración del “2018 año de las Aves“.
