World Migratory Bird Day

There will be following activities:

  • Public lectures on migratory birds and major threats facing to birds including how plastic waste threatens birds. 
  • Discussion about plastic pollution and exchange of ideas to reduce plastic pollution. 
  • Migratory bird habitat cleaning activity by participants.
  • Counting Whooper Swans and waterbirds
  • Visiting ringing station

After the event participants will have adequate knowledge about migratory birds and how plastic pollution is causing severe damage to bird habitat. After discussion participants will have their own ideas about how to reduce plastic use and waste. All participants will make a pledge to reduce their own plastic usage as a start. All participants will be taking part in a cleaning party, and collection of plastic waste will be brought to proper dump at the end of day. 

We expect each participant will return home with full understanding of plastic pollution and begin using less plastic starting next day.
